This is me! My name is Kiya Bennett  and I was born and raised in Kamloops B.C. I am currently 20 years old and an indigenous women from Tk’emlups te Secwepemc.  I started my journey studying adventure at 18 years old when I got accepted into the Adventure Studies program at TRU. This program was my first time getting to experience a plethora of outdoor sports such as hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, rafting and split boarding! As of right now I have my 8o hour Wilderness First Aid Certificate, SRT 4 certificate, my CAA Level 1 and am working toward being a kayak river instructor and a raft guide!

When I am not actively seeking out adventure you can find me creating. This is a way I am able to recuperate and rejuvenate my tired mind. It is a way for me to reach people that I have no words for. If I could give advice to anyone it would be to care about your brain and do what gives you that warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy. Here are a couple items that I created that do that for me.
